Morning everyone. As some of you may have seen BMFA have now made available guidance to model clubs which have been issued in accordance with the new Covid Tier restrictions that start on Wednesday. Sadly you will see that whilst we are able to resume flying at Harden Moor we have been asked not to organise any events that may attract more than 6 people. On top of this we have to acknowledge that we are flying in an area that has been placed into the highest risk category for transmission and that many of our members fall into a more at risk category should they contract the disease. With all things considered I do not feel appropriate to press forward with this event and that the only correct course of action would be to call it off. I know how disappointing this news will be especially as we are emerging from lock down and after the hard work that has gone into getting the trailer and BBQ ready but the safety of the club and it’s members is paramount. On a more optimistic note I think we can all now see the light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully an end to this pandemic. We have some great ideas emerging for the new year and rest assured that we will re schedule this event, along with others, at the first available opportunity that we get.
